High School Ministry Residency Details

Position Summary

The High School Resident will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant and invitational atmosphere within our Student Ministry. The High School Resident will provide discipleship, leadership, and contribution to the overall growth of our Student Ministry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Student Ministry Director in developing a ministry strategy for reaching and connecting with local high school students
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parachurch leaders, local teachers, coaches, and administrators to create a supportive and welcoming environment
  • Assist in developing and delivering compelling and relevant teachings during regular high school ministry gatherings
  • Assist in the planning and execution of high school ministry connection, catalytic, and formational events.
  • Assist in recruiting and equipping volunteersActive involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership and Statement of Faith and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same.
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Biblical Studies/Seminary experience preferred
  • Experience working with or volunteering with students
  • Experience in leading, shepherding, and equipping volunteers
  • Proficient in administration, communication, and event planning and execution
  • Ability to work within the context of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable
