Español Residency Details

Position Summary
The Español Resident will work with the Sending Department to implement the church’s vision of becoming a welcoming home to thousands of people by reaching the Latino population in and around TVC. The Español Resident will collaborate with the Español Ministry to establish, organize, and foster a community passionate about unified Spanish worship of Jesus.
Job Responsibilities
- Support in organizing citywide outreach and evangelistic events, enhancing our outreach and engagement endeavors
- Actively recruit and coordinate leaders and members to serve in different spaces throughout the congregation
- Provide logistical support for the Español Ministry
- Support the translation and finding of theological and discipleship resources in Spanish
- Assist in the execution of weekly corporate worship gatherings, including recruiting volunteers
- Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events
Qualifications and Requirements
- Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership and Statement of Faith and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same.
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in theological studies, practical ministry, great commission studies, or similar
- 2+ years experience in ministry, nonprofit, or community engagement
- Proficient in both English and Spanish languages
- Basic administration skills, including being comfortable using software/platforms to gather and interpret data
- Desire to develop in communication skills, including public speaking, writing, and attentive listening
- Ability to work within the context of a team
- Flexible and adaptable
