Connections Residency Details

Position Summary

The Connections Resident is responsible for inviting, onboarding, and caring for Connections volunteers; assisting in the guiding process of The Village Church’s discipleship pathways; organizational stewardship over Connections classes and volunteers; and meaningful participation in Connections and churchwide opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Recruit and equip individuals interested in volunteering with Connections
  • Help maintain the Connections volunteer base, including onboarding, intentional communication, and care
  • Assist the Connections Ministry with execution of the weekend gathering
  • Work alongside Connections staff and the deacons to identify opportunities to strengthen, maintain, and oversee discipleship pathway opportunities
  • Provide logistical support to the Connections Ministry
  • Active involvement in the life of TVC, including staff meetings and events

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership and Statement of Faith and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same.
  • High school diploma required
  • Ability to work within the context of a team
  • Proficient experience in coordination and administration
  • Proficient experience in developing and managing volunteers
  • Proficient experience in database management
  • Proficient experience in recruiting practices
  • Flexible and adaptable
